UNP re structuring proceeds smoothly - aims at party progress

UNP spokesperson and MP Gayantha Karunatileke speaking at a media briefing , at the UNP media unit , answering questions said , the Committee appointed earlier under the chairmanship of M P Joseph Michael Perera had presented its proposals to the Executive and the Parliamentary members at their joint meeting held last week.

These proposals were accepted , while more proposals  from other  UNP sources are also being received. The proposals of the UNP  Provincial Council  members , Organizers and the media too will be accepted , he added.

In any event the final re structuring proposals will be ready for ratification at the UNP convention scheduled for July , Gayantha  noted.
